NEW SHOWS
EVERY OTHER MONDAY - STARTING NOV 16
WEDNESDAYS @ ELIXIR
THURSDAYS @ LA CATRINA
HOST | ENTERTAINER | CURATOR
Joi Carter is a genre defying vocalist, host, entertainer, and curator whose artistry refuses to be confined. With soul at her core and rhythm woven into every note, she creates a sound and presence that are entirely her own. Her voice is rich, dynamic, and deeply expressive, equally at home in a sultry slow burn, a powerful anthem, or an infectious dance groove.
Beyond the stage, Joi brings personality, energy, and connection to every room she enters. As a host, entertainer, and curator, she creates experiences that bring people, music, and culture together with intention. Unbound by convention and driven by connection, Joi doesn’t simply perform. She creates moments that move people, shift energy, and make them feel something.

Built Like a Storm. Born to Perform.
Joi Carter is a genre-bending artist whose voice moves like fire—shifting from smooth soul to gritty rock, funk-laced grooves to electric pop anthems. A true sonic shapeshifter, Joi commands the stage with fearless energy, emotional depth, and a sound that's both wildly modern and deeply human. Her performances are full-body experiences, blurring the line between concert and movement. Joi doesn’t play by the rules—she rewrites them, track by track, show by show. Whether headlining a festival stage or crafting the next evolution of her sound, Joi Carter is redefining what it means to be an artist in full control of her voice, her vision, and her vibe.
Beyond the music, Joi has brought her presence and charisma to the screen, gaining national visibility as a standout on OWN’s Ready to Love and Love & Marriage: D.C. Whether headlining a festival stage or crafting the next evolution of her sound, Joi Carter is redefining what it means to be an artist in full control of her voice, her vision, and her vibe.
“Joi is the most exciting female artist that I have had the pleasure of working with from the DMV. She is definitely not in the box. Her vocal range and ability to motivate the crowd is effortless and definitely POPPIN!” - Chucky Thompson, Producer
